  1. Reached 0.0C last night (08.03). Now +1.2C (+0.9C/hour). Hopefully a little more snow tonight into tomorrow and then the anticipation gathers pace.
  2. Total snow clearance here. Temp. +2.2C and this is last night's minimum value.
  3. Yep definitely more chance of verifying than any of the Models going on the evidence so far this Winter.
  4. About 2cm snow from showers post 21.00 last night. Current temp. +1.2C/-0.1C (Minimum -0.6C at 03.42).
  5. On Strathmartine Road, Dundee, North of the Kingsway came out of work to 1cm snow on the car. At home, diddley squat!
  6. Greetings Edo. If we can get a trough in that Northerly feed (or a Polar Low - bows low in obeisance) we could get a good fall Edo (+2 inches). Trouble is a N-Westerly needs to be exceptional to get showers through to Perth/Dundee. It is a strong wind so it is possible. A Northerly has all our snow nicked by the Grampians and those lovely Aberdeenshire folk! Again wind strength may help us A N-Easterly swing can deliver but is hit or miss as the track overland generally dissipates the precipitation. The outlying possibility of the Easterly next weekend is our best chance. All up for grabs but not how I would like to see it. If we do get snowfall very low Minima day and night can be expected post Tuesday. METO certainly expecting widespread snowfall tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday - time will tell.
  7. Max. today 10.3C. Wonder when we will hit (positive) double digits again. Still awaiting a negative double digit this winter - this week?
  8. Between 18.00 and 18.30 the temperature went up from 4.0C to 6.7C (today's Maximum). Temperature rise coincided with a brief downpour.
  9. Couldn't help but notice the picture is entitled "Huge Waves". Question is Hairy Celt - to what do the "Waves" refer!
  10. Not necessarily Snowlover2 - this is RTE or Radio Telefis Eireann ie. Irish TV. I am an Ulsterman by the way (without prejudice).
  11. Weather fact of the day for Perthians - between 02.30 - 03.30 the temperature rose from +2.6C to +6.3C ie. 3.7C.
  12. SS do you ever think of anything else other than videos of pussies! Shocking, quite shocking.
  13. Just visited the asylum area of netweather and I must say things very calm and upbeat in there this morning (hope its just not the medication working better). LSS, TEITS and others predicting our next cold spell from T240-300 (9th-10th February) with a possible Beasterly. The roller-coaster has just been set into gear again then.
  14. Quite awful to watch you hopes and dreams melting before your very eyes. Temp. +4.0C (-0.3C/hour). Max. overnight +6.4C at 03.32.
  15. Light snow continuing since before 07.00. Temp. +0.8C/-0.2C (+0.1C/hour).
  16. psst Edo I might be able to help you out but you mustn't tell anyone.
  17. Sucked into one of Stephen Hawking's singularities no doubt, just like all the snow we were promised this week (major toorp).
  18. Let's face it we are all snow addicts and as any addict will tell you the come-down from the high is so bad they need another high real quick - it's why they're addicts. There is no new high in sight hence the deep despondency. Also the trip most of us have had this week has been a bad trip!
  19. Light snowfall overnight. Minimum Temp. at 07.18 -0.2C. Currently +1.2/+0.8C (+0.6C/hour). Not overly hopeful for tomorrow but maybe that is wishful thinking as I have to travel to work in Blairgowrie on Saturday morning - a dangerous B road at the best of times.
