Greetings Edo.
If we can get a trough in that Northerly feed (or a Polar Low - bows low in obeisance) we could get a good fall Edo (+2 inches).
Trouble is a N-Westerly needs to be exceptional to get showers through to Perth/Dundee. It is a strong wind so it is possible.
A Northerly has all our snow nicked by the Grampians and those lovely Aberdeenshire folk! Again wind strength may help us
A N-Easterly swing can deliver but is hit or miss as the track overland generally dissipates the precipitation.
The outlying possibility of the Easterly next weekend is our best chance.
All up for grabs but not how I would like to see it.
If we do get snowfall very low Minima day and night can be expected post Tuesday.
METO certainly expecting widespread snowfall tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday - time will tell.
Just visited the asylum area of netweather and I must say things very calm and upbeat in there this morning (hope its just not the medication working better).
LSS, TEITS and others predicting our next cold spell from T240-300 (9th-10th February) with a possible Beasterly.
The roller-coaster has just been set into gear again then.
Let's face it we are all snow addicts and as any addict will tell you the come-down from the high is so bad they need another high real quick - it's why they're addicts.
There is no new high in sight hence the deep despondency.
Also the trip most of us have had this week has been a bad trip!
Light snowfall overnight. Minimum Temp. at 07.18 -0.2C.
Currently +1.2/+0.8C (+0.6C/hour).
Not overly hopeful for tomorrow but maybe that is wishful thinking as I have to travel to work in Blairgowrie on Saturday morning - a dangerous B road at the best of times.
