    Decent outlook for the South now. Less so further north, but that is situation normal. Average conditions, which in May is pleasant in the South East.

    There’s showers coming off the Wash, Jon There are showers coming off The Wash Jon. They can sometimes spring a surprise for our neck of the woods - no elevation of note to catch them before Epping Forest...

    Okay, now we are talking. The first decent chunk pushing in off the estuary into north (east) London. 4/10. Proper nice fluffy snow coming in off the easterly.

    Looking better now coming into the estuary, should push back into town on a sharp nor easter

    If the big lump in the estuary pushes back in on the easterly breeze we could be in. But, not confident. I never am.

    It’s painful to watch, just aching for that heavy stuff out east to get into the mouth of the estuary and swing over us! Aargh!

    The latest Euro4 is a chart of utter beauty if you live in London. We shall see.

    Indeed. Some places were forecast 6c, managed 3c.

    Hirlam is another upgrade. Coming into line with GFS and the Office’s forecast (which has been pretty consistent since this morning, even yesterday evening)

    It would be ironic indeed after all the opprobrium piled on them if the Office got a handle on this from the start. Front looks quite active and is just making landfall on the south coast.
