  1. Got 7cm here from a combination of Sun/Mon/Thurs and Friday. Light snow falling now too. I am sure we'll see many events in the next week.
  2. Great stuff Jed. Was about to call it a night....! Light - moderate snow here at the moment still.
  3. Not being funny but but posted this mid morning. Low and behold we get 5 hours of unexpected snow today and still falling. I repeat. Once the cold is in place...................
  4. Light snow coming down again here now. Anyone else reporting snow? As stated a few days ago. We have the cold in place. Almost everything that falls is going to be snow. Enjoy the little surprise bits of snow as much as the main events. Lets drop the charts and differing opinions and see what happens here. I am sure it won't disappoint sometime in the next week. It may be W Yorks gets hammered next week instead. What will be will be
  5. Few decent sized flakes coming down here. Nothing on radar though! Temp -3.1c
  6. Yes I lived in Irby then and we had about 10 ". I remember getting the train to work in Chester and there was about 14" level snow there.....!
  7. Been out at pub so missed everything but surprised by decent snow shower on way home. Gusty wind too making it feel bitter. Temp says 0.9c. Feels colder. Lovely unexpected snow adding to the cover. This is the best thing about cold being 'in place'.
  8. Freezing cold out there sledging with the kids and the lightest of snow showers.... temp 0.3c and wind was baltic...!
  9. Plenty of showers rattling in to the NW. If strong enough flow we can someimes get them over here and wuth the current temp they may be wintry?
  10. Wow. that's incredible. Wouldn't like going up Red Bank in that. I'll wait til the Keswick to Barrow in May for that...
  11. Still coming down here albeit lighter with the brief heavier burst. Up to 4cm in some spots. 2-3cm on the grass, pavements etc so not bad all in all. Pretty confident cover will last as it 'll turn cold after the front hopefully?. Temp 0.9 c now
  12. Still going strong here although seems to be getting a bit brighter. Up to 3cm now. Good cover all over even on roads (ok it is a private cul-de-sac).
  13. No problems laying here at 185m asl. Currently heavy snow. Probably got about 2cm on ground at mo. ( 1cm from last nite).
  14. Always my day off mate which is good. Pick the kids up at 3.15pm and sledges ready I hope....
  15. Mod / heavy snow here now adding to the 1cm from last night. Everything fully white again. Day off too...!
  16. Even when its bucketing down never really a problem in the city whereas the surrounding suburbs can be vastly different. Have a good meeting matey. Plenty of hotels if you get snowed in....
  17. Hi Posthill Wanderer Im a bit further up the hill maybe?? Live in a private cul-de-sac and even the road covered now. Certainly looking better. Perhaps this is intensifying a tad? Have moved back in to the conservatory as was annoying the missus curtain twitching
  18. Certainly picked up here Jed too. Covering grass, pavements nicely now. May be the temp dropping is helping but can't be bothered going outside to check.!
  19. Snow picking up a bit in intensity. Looking at radar maybe an hour more. A thin covering maximum out of all this
  20. Decent cover in Coniston at the moment. I know it well and this is sea level ish. Good vibes...? http://www.bbc.co.uk/cumbria/content/webcams/coniston1_webcam.shtml
