I remember that day Almost 9 hours of continuous snow amountinmg to 2-3" max. Enough to get the sledge out the next day until the snow disappeared late that night...

Remember it well having travelled back to the Cumbrian coast from Chester that afternoon for xmas. Particularly stormy was early evening as I walked to the pub in to incredible gusts even now I can recall it..

Yes agreed Aiden Temp was hovering around 0c this morning climbing to max of 2c this afternoon. Well below the November average but better than wind and rain...

That has just happened in the last 5 minutes here in Pudsey. Was sat out on the patio in warm sunshine and could see mist drifting over from the city and now I am inside and cold..! -

I think the fabled Manchester storm drifted over towards the Leeds area this afternoon.. Was in Otley with heavy rain however my son reported a decent flash of lightning and torrential rain in Pudsey. The back edge of that storm was incredibly defined. Terrific edge and mammatus like...Will upload by phone later..

Just started raining heavily here now. Looks like a thin band of rain but it's quite heavy and certainly came out of nowhere -
Unbelievable lightning and thunder direct overhead now. Instantaneous thunder.. The Missus literally just jumped a mile...!

Seems to be yet another cell / t-storm brewing over Drighlington / S leeds way where they have been generating all today...! Decent thunder from that now. A bit gutted had no direct hit here but fabulous watching over the whole of Leeds here..

Really interesting cloud from that storm over leeds at present. Will try and capture... If this was Kansas then that would drop a you know what...... Edit: this storm looks nasty. Keep safe over there....

Hi Aaron, Second storn here today heard and witnessed in Pudsey however I know this is more south / east Leeds. Almost constant thunder and watching this from my patio is fantastic. Somene is getting pasted...

That preciptation midlands / north england is certainly pepping up.. Gone dark here in Leeds city centre and started raining heavily. May get some action later however no real solar heating today...

Got a friend on holiday near Bamburgh since last Friday reporting an absolutely dreadful holiday as he has seen leaden skies and rain almost non stop since then.... 'Topped off today by absolute bucketing down and drenching' so heading back to 'sunny' Yorkshire as we speak...

Lightning just seen in Leeds city centre. So dark the street lights are on.... more like mid November...

Agreed. Great CG's and plenty of them of them in Pudsey.. Was watching from conservatory with Son 7 yo and he was getting well interested...... Was certainly not far from direct over here perhaps edging towards S Leeds...

Only just managed to get on laptop after a great day of convection. Left Otley at 16.30 to a tremendous shower. Visiblity so bad struggled to see if any lightning came out of it..? Decent crack of thunder about 17.30 in Pudsey but nothing much after. The cell seemed to be more towards the city heading east Leeds..

Agreed was nasty. Im not sure what it struck as I guess the Tyne bridge is not equipped with a lightning conductor...?
