So far the white Christmas here was reserved for a sleet shower just after 10am.

It lasted 1/2 an hour but snow was clearly falling just to the West. Scanning various radars it appears the heavier precipitation, and therefore snow, was within 2 miles :(

Lots of distant 'pretty in pink' CBs in the sunset sky so who knows?

Just had a heavy snow shower here which lasted around 30mins. It was really blowing around in the bitter wind. Now everything looks really nice as the sun is setting. A covering of about 1cm.

Well I went for a walk up a hill at around 200m asl today, and up there on the fields there was still a good covering of 1-2cm around, and the fields across the hills of the Forest of Dean to the south looked nice and white. So that snow this morning did give better stuff at higher levels, it even stuck around for about an hour down in Ross at low levels.

Just had an heavy snow shower here in Oldham. As other have previously said it's readily settling now, and it was post-card perfect a minute ago, heavy snow in a calm breeze. It's stopped again now.

Snowing heavily again here, for the second time in under an hour. A covering of around 2.5cm, and getting deeper with every shower. The snow is not melting and is very powdery. Cold, -1.9C.
