I think it's due in the early hours of Saturday morning our time, but I get confused with the time zones so i'm probably wrong.

flagpole, the page uses Windows Media Player, have you got the up to date Media Player ?

You would need to be on broadband as its got 3 live news feeds playing at once as well.

Her eye wall is still not sorted, still very irregular in shape. If she sorts out this 'glitch' over the next 2 hrs I guess she'll put on another little intensification, enough to freak out Galveston a little more and have made landfall before she'd next like to replace /renew the eyewall again.

Some complete angel delight has taken a surf-board out, what a pillock.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

They are actually Very good conditions for surfing (before the storm comes) Light winds will make the waves clean. 3-4FT surf is hitting the coastline at the moment. If it wasnt for the police there would be hundreds of surfers out there!!!

good morning all

just been watching the imagery again

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/watl-vis-loop.html

this really shows what's happening with rita and phil. There is absolutely no doubt these two storms are interacting with one another. They flirted for a while rita tried to dump him but phil seems unwilling to let go. And look at the cloud patch south of the two storms, they're angled at phil and only partially pulled in by rita.

It's very interesting in the gulf at the moment.
