really heavy at the moment even the main roads that have just been gritted have gone white again.

We had a heavy snow shower around 1830z, was particuarly gusty with it- not sure on depth, but all areas that did manage a slight thaw are covered again so I would estimate 2 or 3cm. Clear skies now however.

Sheffield is starting to take a battering. Higher suburbs, which there are alot of, have a good few inches and even at 100m asl where i am, we have a good inch.

Have just looked outside and discovered about a centimetre or so of snow on the ground and it is still snowing very lightly. An hour ago there was a light sprinkling on grass and soil but nothing on the paths. Been waiting for this all day! I'm in Dore, Sheffield.

Well, its a big disapointment in terms of snow here, got only 2mm. Theres only a very slight dusting on cold surfaces. Possibly more tomorrow, but it looks very unlikely. Aaaah well, winters not over until March. Theres still time.
