Snow/wintry Precipitation Reports 27th Dec 2005

i left warwick this morning at around 11am, there was 1cm lying and more falling and on the way. i was looking forward to getting home to see more, but the 1cm we had down here (as reported by the neighbours) had all but melted.

just had another dusting from a light 30 minute shower, but didn't stick to the pavements or roads which is surprising as it's been below freezing for a while now.

Bit of a surprise, but fine grains, followed by about 10 minutes of proper flakes has left a covering of 0.5cm a few minutes ago here in North Bristol.

Continous heavy snow since 7-9pm. 4cm COMPLETE covering on everything.

Thames Snow Streamer still doing it's stuff, more showers mainly of grain pellets but a few heavier burst with actual flakes to add to the accumalation.

Frequent light snow showers. About 1cm settled, and it's -1.1º. Better than nothing I suppose.

I've been away for the day but have come back to a few mm on roads, cars and grass etc. Had a heavy snow shower coming through places like Godstone and Lingfield this evening.

Well, been for a walk out and about this evening, it seems we have had around 4cm in places, which is about what was forecast, so fair play to the forecasters. Had a little light snow while we were out, but nothing major and its now stopped, I hope the night brings some more goodies but I have a feeling it won't.

Light snow on and off since about 8Pm here in Moordown, Bournemouth.

Can't see much in the way of cloud apart from a line of cloud as I face towards the coast yet it seems to be moving inland, nothing on radar, but what do I care. I even made a small snow ball from what layed on the dustbin.

A moderate snow shower here - quite grainy but is falling in decent-sized flakes now. Looks like there could be more to come as well!

Somewhat suprisingly, it's snowing here, about 7 miles south of Gloucester. Only a dusting at the moment, but you never know. The strange thing is that there's nothing showing on the Met Office radar.

another snow shower here - come and go every half hour. Temp is 1.6C and wind is picking up - a sure sign 4 more 2 come on top of the 1cm already on the ground! From Saltburn, N. Yorks!
