Wow, sounds like some good snowfall up North, enjoy it! and stay safe. Anyway, not much to report here. A dusting of snow but it's hard to tell how much because the wind's blown it around. Maybe a cm? Now snowing, albeit very small flakes. I'm just waiting for that big green blob to hopefully push over the Welsh mountains!

15cm (6 inches) here Although it is hard to tell because of drifting. Still coming down very thick!

heavy snow continuing right through the night a good few inches here. Accumulating faster now

At least three inches on the ground and still snowing.

Been snowing here consistently since midnight and still is snowing, good 2" to 3" of snow lying, with drifting.

(P.s Anyone know any image hosters apart from imageshack?)

Snow!

I think it's been snowing since around 10pm last night, there's around 4cm on the ground (deeper in places because of the gusty wind).

minus 1.1c

1cm covering here on all but hard ground surfaces. B)

Still snowing lightly, Proper big, fat snowflakes falling as well, just not enough of them, and I don't hold out hope of a lot more. Really nice to wake up to though.

Might go for a drive out of town and see if it's any better.

additional alert is out

This is an amend to the above

ADD the following

All areas of England are now likely to see some snow. Additional to the above areas south of the line given above are also likely to have a moderate snowfall, except the extreme south and south east for the time being. Falls of 5-10cm on any high ground with 2-5cm on much of the rest of the areas now at risk, but areas very near the coast and the south west will see rain or sleet.

This Alert will be updated again by early afternoon.

Been lightly snowing here since 3.45am. Just stopped now. About 2-3cm on bins, tables, decking etc but less on the grass. None on the paths and roads.

becoming much more windy, very cold, fine artic type snow being blown around, has being snowing since 3am.. and getting more intense.

not bad for Carlisle ... B)

forcast looks great!

if the north atlantic drift continues to slow at the present rate, we will be getting all this frequently in our winters.

:) PROPER seasons .. mmmm bliss.

well it's been a while since I've drove in a blizzard ... gotta make the most of it... the snowmen can wait till tea time!

I'm now holding a lot more hope. B)

Trouble is I'm only about 20 miles from the south coast. It's still trying hard to snow but at it's present rate it'll probably melt quicker than it accumulates.

About 3cm settled on cars and grass, and a dusting on roads, pavements.Light/moderate snow was almost horizontal at work this morning with laying snow being blown about into small drifts. Light snow at present and feeling raw in the wind.

I have just looked on this site, http://www.cybermoor.org/travel-services/webcams/index.asp, I thought it would be covered up there in the east Lakes.
