Still snowing steadily here in Fife, very little wind, what there is is roughly NE, looks as if snow is stuck directly over us. Level depth now 11.5cm (4.5") on hard surface, add 2cm on grass.

Edit: http://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/webcam/ but site is overloaded at the moment.

well I can say we had about 2cm on grass this morning but we are now suffering some snow melt.

Although its been snowing all day hard to believe we've not accumulated more snow! :)

Hi all hope everyone is staying warm and safe. heavy rain and snow here in isle of man, lots of roads just passable, husband slid to work along ballamodha strait stating moderate snow lying from upper foxdale to past st marks. snaefell mountain road closed until further notice. just rain here in Peel but really cold in the strong southeasterly wind. hope this is allowed herewith link to Department of transport cameras over snaefell. DOT Wedcameras

countryfile forecast interesting, might be on for more flurries off that northeasterly later on in the week! bring it on! what a pity this isnt january as we would have had snow weeks rather than the odd snow day!

Bless you all and thanks for some fanastic pictures :)

Been snowing lightly all day with the odd heavier flurries. Is settling on the grass and the like but not on the paths or roads really.

Just hoping it keeps going :)

Only just logged on today but reports are as follow:

Light snow started before midnight but didnt produce a covering till 1:30am. Had all but stopped by 10:am and the max 2cm lying had all but melted except in the shade by mid-afternoon.

Only a few miles or so to my West in Ironbridge there was still snow lying and the Clee Hills & Shropshire hills have a good covering.

Still snowing lightly, which means this hasn't stopped for about 9 hours now. Had eased off to an intensity of around 3-5, but back up around 10 now. Very hard to get a sensible measure of depth up here on the windswept moor, as the pictures show. The lawn has 2-4cm on it, which is consistent with the drifts that are about a foot (I usually reckon on drifts at upto 10x level snow based on experience): not much really for such a long duration. Anyway, the snow is dry so there's some beautiful lines in it; one or two piccies attached: the icicles are pretty impressive, blown askew by the wind. The view in front of the garage demonstrates PIT's point about surface melt: it's still about -2C up here, exceptionally cold for March, though the chance of an unually cold day MIGHT be spoiled if it warms up later.

Been snowing here all day, winds still strong I guess there must be 2cm+ (judging by the flower tubs!) but hard to tell as it is blowing everywhere.

Well, it's still "snowing here". It's actually more like being caught in a candy floss machine and I'm of the opinion that there's somethin of a weather first on the go here because I think the snow is actually blowing away faster than it's falling. Still very windy, but snow intensity now down to 5.

Had 3cm here overnight, very powdery. Not a lot has fallen since though. Stayed pretty cold all day, might be the coldest March day here?
