Mainly cloudy sunny, very hot and sticky indoors. A lot of thunder around last night but very little in the way of rain came with it just 0.8mm fell, was it worth all the flashes and bangs. Pressure dropped again today quite rapidly but it is on its way back up again now.

A major thunderstorm here yesterday evening ( I would have posted this yesterday but the storm knocked out the internet connection for 18 hours)

The first thunder was heard around 1750 b.s.t and from 1900 until 2015 there was almost continuous thunder with frequent c/g lightning.

Heavy or torrential rain fell from 1910 until around 2200 b.s.t.

Rainfall total for the storm was 41.6mm.

Back to today. A max' of 25.4c after an overnight min' of 16.2c. The max' today was 1.4c down on yesterday.

Almost continuous sunshine today with 1-3 oktas cumulus humilis this morning and cumulus humilis, cirrus fibratus and altocumulus castellanus this afternoon. The wind was f3-4 NE, highest gust 25 mph at 1423 g.m.t.

Taverham - Norfolk hit 29C at 11:20am with 40% humidity and pressure falling. By 3pm again it hit 30C not quite reaching the 33C of yesterday though. It is now 8:30pm and 26C with a humidity of 41% and pressure at 1014 and falling but has slowed up since yesterday, A light breeze now but perfectly clear blue skies no cloud.

Has been forecast for storms tomorrow evening but ,drat, will miss those as heading back to leeds tomorrow!-
