I hour ago, approximately 21:30hrs.

Quite surprised to report snow from the valley of Burton on Trent this evening, a temperature drop from 9c to 3c in less then 15 mins was enough to turn heavy rain to sleet then wet snow, approximately 1cm of snow on the lawn and cars. Currently ground frost forming under cloud breaks, very icy, air temperature 2c.

Snow here now - light and flying past the lamppost in the wind. I might suggest starting a Snow League  :help:

Hi Paul.

Similar here just up the road. Had some hail around 9ish last night. Looked outside when it started and looked quite viscious.

Had another look at 21.20, and all cars and grass were covered, and parts of the roads/paths. Couldnt work out with what, but looked more like hail (due to how it was melting).

However, also at 21.20 until about 22.00, we had snow. Mainly light, blowing in the winds, but the odd light moderate fall.

Edit - Was all melted this morning though, bar a little bit on the grass at the back and a little on the shed roofs (out the back as well - strange).

Sleet has been falling here for the last hour. This morning's snow cover has still not thawed despite a sunny morning.

Had two or 3 snow showers during the day and some moderate sleet in the last hour or so.

Was mainly driving hail in Consett, very painful to be out in but still nice :o

Can't report snow tonight, i'm not in Stanley
