light snow here for over 3 hours now. fields are nice and white. one thing i noticed was that the cloud cover is so thin and the snow so light you can clearly see the moon. we also have slush on the concrete but hopeing for something heavier to whiten it up..

Crap all here yet, not expecting much tonight, a cm or two if lucky.

Certainly will be snow though. Already -2.0oC, frost already formed.

What I don't understand is why we aren't going to see frequent snow showers over the next few days with a northerly over a warm ocean.

Have to agree with you there ! Snow shield fully operational tonight again :( I think Around Belfast lough must be one of the very few areas who have to see lying snow this winter

I dunno MS, the BBC keeps the snow over us up until 3pm tommorow afternoon and there are weather warnings from Netweather aswell, then with the sun setting and skies clearing, temps dropping and freezing any snow cover. Also the precip will probably intensify later on tonight, especially for Eastern areas.
