So is the snow going to turn to rain?

benn snowing steadily here all day, but there are signs of the beginning of a melt, but still managed a good 7" in total, but the recent snow hasn't added to it, seems to be slowly collapsing.

Its nice to see the snow in bexleyheath has remained- topping 7 inches-

radar says thats it for Kent Although there is still another pulse left in this streamer-

Snow still falling heavy here in Eltham!!!_

Why is it missing London ( The mild sector) because its plummed North/NE out of France the recurved west through Suffolk & essex, plus the Estuary has had an effect!!!!

Stunning night- possibly more to come in the week-

When the snow band gives up we want clear skies ASAP from the west-

Knackered! 6 hours spent out in the snow today, I was walking from the hill when it started to rain and the slush came, that was about an hour ago.

it seems to die down a little with sleet and small snow grains and then picks up again into a heavy snow shower, just hoping things continue like these but seems as though its dying out now on the radar.

Just looked at the GFS chart viewer on NW & the risk time was 6pm- after which ever so slowly the colder air edges back East & snow does the snowline-

If its snowing now you are almost home & dry-

Also, I noticed between 6 & midnight that the low sharpens up the gradient on its SE Edge, which means this steady line of streamer thats coming in I dont know- somewhere near Hastings, going through tonbridge, over SE London & on to Herts may well continue for some times-

Its called a line of strong convergence-

regards

Steve

so this snow line could continue through this evening? and the colder temps will return, making sure it stays as snow? is this not a long shot? could be interesting if it does occur
