very strange. precipitation is supposed to be well past us, but NOTHING at all is falling. Also, I can see the moon dead above me(through the clouds, very hazy). I remember seeing something similar before the big snow in 1982 too.

maybe........?

nah :D

well my brother came back from skool with a note saying its highly likely will be closed 2morrow

Humm,

It does indeed look like a no go.

As its approaching the UK it seems to be fizzling out quickly.

I think ill just assume no snow now

The precip charts show much more coming up from France, whether it'll be rain or snow who knows! It appears if it holds its intensity it will be in bands. Here's hoping..

Those people worried about the lack of activity in the ppn currently over the SW should not be worried. If you look at the precipitation charts thats exactly how it should look at this stage. Have faith!!

Surfs up

Dewpoint below -2C, but air temps above 1C, needs to drop more for any snow to settle i reckon.

No worries, the temperature is still gradually dropping and it will proabbly do so a bit more when it has actually started snowing.

I think it may bunch up more as it slows its northwards progression

My temp is currently 1.1C with a DP of 0.5C ... and apparently 17.4mm of rainfall ... oh if only that had been proper snow. The flurry of earlier when the temp dropped appears to have ended, the temperature hasn't changed much at all recently. :o

Temp here in weston is 2.8c

Not sure it's going to drop enough before the front arrives.
