Steady pellet snow still here, the roofs are beginning to turn white, while the ppn to the north seems to be holding on still.

All a bonus!

Linton, must be about 4/5 miles to your south at the foot of the hill?

Turned back to snow now :cold: But still only the merest of dustings on pavements and unused cars.

The BBC are just saying 1-3cm now, they've scrapped their 6cm.

I have a good covering even on my car which I used at 6:30. Not on the road but garden is very covered and the trees are visible in the dark. So strange you are that close to me but have a different amount! Just looked out and really fairly heavy and the flakes are not hugh but all bigger than 5p's!!?!

Moderate to heavy snow in Ealing, west London. Settling now. I have a lot of time for the BBC but Peter Cockcroft got it wrong tonight. Was forecasting rain only 90 minutes ago.

Actual weather: heavy snow.

Snowing continuously here since sundown - started off as a sleety mix but from approx 5.45pm it was all snow. In last 15 mins started to settle on grass and cars, but not roads or pavements.

I think that's probably it for me. A dusting anyway. Hope the rest of you get a good dumping

Still coming down steadily, although still tiny flakes, but the radar is looking good for the Central/East London area in the next 30-45 mins if the clump of ppn over Herts maintains it's course and intensity.

Heavy persistent snow now starting to settle on the road and pavement in addition to the other surfaces - temp must have taken a sudden dip for this to happen so quickly - Wowwww
