Sounds fantastic :whistling: I can't decide whether to go to bed or wait a bit longer.

Since it's not very often we get to do this, it's a hard decision.

we have gone from 1/2 inch to about 2 inches in 15min and still going!

Off to bed - nothing for me I fear, or if it is coming, radar suggests very late in the night. It's been frankly unbelievable how the ppn has almost entirely missed Lincolnshire, but them's the breaks.

If it continues as it is, I doubt you'll be going anywhere tomorrow. I was just about to call it

a day, but it's started snowing again. I think I'll give it another 30 minutes to see what happens.

Awesome!!! I'm glad I stayed up now. The snow is the heaviest it's been so far - it really is coming

thick and fast.

i want some of your snow to move south to here lol you lucky bugger!

And allot more to come.. the streams of showers have moved slightly meaning a direct hit for us.

I have to be in York @ 6.30am umm, hope the snow plow pays a visit in the morning. The gritter has failed !

 It's the best move I've ever made moving to Castle Howard - these type of setups never fail to

disappoint. The school run could be very interesting in the morning :)

It's the last day of term tomorrow aswell

Think I'm going to call it a night too - stay safe everyone

Well, Ive just woken up to nothing. Not a single shower overnight at all. All we have is the light dusting from yesterday evening. This easterly has been rather poor for our area to say the least.

Not even an air frost either. Currently 1.1C with a dewpoint of -4.0C. Min Temp 0.7C.

The radar shows beautifully how the showers missed this area. Here are the 12 hour accumulation totals:

Like the parting of the Red Sea over this area!

This has got to go down as one of the biggest dissapointment in the 30 years I have been weather watching - We should have got buried in this sort of setup - its like a corridor of doom the radar images - roll on the weekend lets see if that improves although I doubt it - roll on January /february !! :o

Glad I don't have to go out but will probably have to go to the supermarket later for essential supplies (wine)
