You know what this means, what John Holmes said early and reef of course, that the stagnant air across us, just sticks around! looks sadly like the warmer upper bumped SW or it just disintegrated.

Heaviest precipitation aint even over us yet mate! and its becoming more and more slow moving whilst intensifying \:lol:/

Lewis

amazes me how weve got nothing  and its sleeting now, ahh wel, glad hulls seeing snow, last years easterly gave so much snow compared to this cold spell!!!

This is absolutely crazy, I've never, in my life, seen snow lay as quickly as this. Forget those last pics. Amazing stuff

Nice one Brian, I thought you might be perfectly placed for this ! Still coming down here too, but I think you're going to do best tonight !

Light snow falling here, the heavier stuff is just to the north west, assuming it stays as snow.

Whats gone wrong for us in Leeds all comes down to a developing south westerly breeze in the last few hours. Bringing a warm sector of air directly to us. Just to the east of the A1, the winds are lighter and are well in the cold air allready there, allowing for snow...

The chances of this happening are about 1 in 20, o well if it snows tommorow we'l soon forget about it..

Glad for you guys in the east getting some heavy snow though!
