Rain now stopped so still some snow left. Warning should have been for ice not snow so another weather front off NO as per normal.

Yep, very very poor ... and the kick in the teeth will be that it shll be like an ice rink in the morning and no doubt I will be the first to slip over !

I agree,

lets hope people in the West get it tomorrow, as the gfs was showing the showers penetrating right through to the other side of the humber!

i hope that means 1-2cm for here, it would be great for any kind of cover!

Whats it like at your end now mate? <_<

Winter wonderland, thick snow everywhere.

Tomorrow looks interesting too! After another cold night tonight, and temps unlikely to get above freezing we could see some more snow tomorrow afternoon/night .

For once the marginal becomes a BEAST. Perfect dews, lovely saturation, and lovely big flakes.

Lovely,

Starting to slow down a lot the snow now, that'll be it tonight.

Hi BL, I'm totally stunned. I'd always thought that we would do quite well tonight, but I cant believe that so much snow has layed in this short space of time.

I wish you hadn't mentiond Sunday lunch - I'm drooling now :)

Hi Brian :)

I've just been round the block to make the most of it ..

soooo pretty with the huge flakes.

Hadn't realized how many villagers had lovely festive

lights either. Quite a treat, if a chilly one !

Measuring a full 3" level depth now and still falling.

BL :)

Now some of you lot are posting on the sheffield forums.

Anyway I'm glad I ain't driving anywhere first thing tomorrow as ice will be a problem in sheffield. Gritters don't work into Sunday unless times have changed.

Looks like that's it for me now, surprised i saw snow yet Sheffield saw rain! Left half a cm so disappointing really

We have a effective snow shield.

Warm sector and weakening front did it for us.

Been another fantastic day here, Started in the morning with a low of -11 :D with 3-4 inches on the ground. Snow, nice crisp winter sun, then a two hour spell of wet snow adding a 1/2 an inch or so.

Really should of dug up our Christmas tree sooner!

So beyond this band seems a gap over a couple hours and then possibly scattered light showers. Whether they will reach as far as the Humber I'd be interested to find out. Is there any a further snow forecasted during Sunday and into next week?
