I don't see a thaw unless we get rain tomoro to be honest and even then i shall remain hopeful while at work in britol that it might just be snow back home clap.gif

Id also love to get up to at least 5 days laying snow by the end of december.

The thaw has begun. Not at your house though...1000 feet ASL.

Its happening at 1400feet down here (as I look up at the hill) but only on the south facing hills.

We still have snow here at 900 feet on a north facing hill.

Think I'm going to take a trip up the hills later and see what it's like. I'll come back with some pictures. It was 2007 or 2008 when the only snow we had fell on the hills and was about a cm deep - there must be more than that up there now anyway!

If i could just get a completely cloudless night i think i could get an impressive low tonight but we shall see.

I'm going for -6 again. Just to keep with a theme.

The sun has moved around far enough now to ensure around here won't see any until much later on so whats here should stay now!

Wonder if the postman is going to make it today, he didn't yesterday, and I bet the bins won't of been emptied either!

-0.9c still and i think that will be my max for the day now that sun has peaked.

Just seen the latest bbc forecast, as the rain band moves in tomorrow they are showing quite a few hours of snow for dartmoor!

Well the temp is upto 5c and the snow is thawing. Hopefully not completely before it starts to freeze again tonight.

I must admit GP 's comments in the model thread sound promising for January.

Spotlight going for snow overnight tonight and tomorrow morning and then turning to rain by the afternoon. (Snow for Dartmoor and then rain everywhere)

Will be interesting, because if the cold air sticks in for a bit longer we could get a pasting!

Reminds me of last feb! They said it would turn to rain here but..............................

...turned out to be the biggest snowfall in a few years. Egg on faces? :yahoo:

This however would scupper Christmas plans so not so welcome, just yet. drinks.gif
