3 days below zero here also (at night) Pond thick enough to walk on ect.

Can we expect the next batch to be of snow? Or sleet and rain like the BBC suggest?

our 3 days have been freezing meaning that at no time did the temperature exceed 0C during the day or night though it's come closest tonight tho!

I think this cold is a little to deep in our location for it to change much..obviously those on the coast will probably get the sleet and rain.

Theres rain in this snow now so enjoy while you can, its also smelting slightly, despite temperature of 0.1C

No rain here, we got that at the start.

It's left about a 1-2cm covering anyway, if it lasts till morning ill go to the park sledging (Already got the sledges out from yesterday).

Everything over the merseyside side is of snow...and here was me hating that damned estuary for always ruining snow chances lol

Just been out for a walk from my parents house in Cumbria. About 6 inches of level dry powder snow, clear sky, moonlight illuminating all the fells, stars twinkling and biting cold. Absolute perfection, what a horrible thought that at some stage it will end!

lets keep an eye on that stuff from south wales, its heading in a generally north direction, hoping for a clear spell to keep the temps down for 3 or 4 hours..(the rain hitting south wales is readily turning to sleet and snow) this could be great omens

Small flakes here but coming down hard and fast.

Really? Here in Great Harwood (BB6) we had an extremely light 5min snow shower.

the band is intensifying now, as it makes its slow journey up here to -2.7c here and a DP of -4.5c bring it on...

Been above freezing everyday here, although my temperture sensor is surrounded by houses and brick walls, so not sure if it's giving me a false reading.

We are near the coast here, so I really hope it stays as snow

it got really heavy again a second ago, although gone light again now.

I am hoping we get some much colder undercutting tonight into tomorrow morning..especially with all those showers in the southwest!

Looking at the traffic camera's around the M62/M6 Interchange at Warrington, and you can already see the places which have benefited most from this batch of snow. It's about time places to the South and West of me got played the better hand. They've been overdue.

Extremely light snow has just begun here. Nice size flakes too.
