You 2 jack one and lets hope we can have some snow to make the rest jealous lol.

I hope so, and going by tonight's models it really is set to be a very cold and frosty start to 2010, with the GFS very much following the ECM lead in bringing some very cold air across the UK for at least the next 10 days.

When you have cold air, snow is possible and although it may appear dry for much of the time for Wales, February 2009 proved that snow can come from a variety of different sources.

Fingers Crossed.

Looks like A few showers brewing off the N Wales coast ATM according to the Radar

Looks like they may be heading in a SE direction may be wrong but check the NW radar out.

Happy New Year to all, hope everyone will have a great year ahead.

Well looks like its going to be cold, but will lack of preciption no chance of any snowfall. It always seems the same, we get a prolonged freeze but with it no preciption. Then when it does come its always marginal and in more cases than not it rains.

Sunday through to Monday has now been downgraded and no snow as predicted earlier in the week.

I will be surpised if it does!

Weather warning now out for much of Wales 4pm onwards.

Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow during Friday evening and the first part of the night, coupled with freezing temperatures are likely to cause widespread ice in places. Falls of a few cm of lying snow are expected locally.

We need to watch the wind direction at the moment neast direction needs to switch to a more to the north , hopefully a irish sea streamer can form fetching showers straight over us.

The wind direction is set to move NW later this evening and with a few troughs in the flow, this could well pep up convective potential.

As is aid in teh warning a few Cms of snow is possible in places.

There remains a chacne of further wintry/snow showers over the weekend with NW winds at times.

As for Sunday/Monday, it was never likely to push that far north.

Looks like we could see some showers later and overnight, hopfully of snow! Temps shot up thismorning, reached 6.5C at 10:45am, now gone back down to 5.3c and seems to be falling slowly. Fingers crossed for those showers. Is there any chance of seeing anything tomorrow night? or tuesday? as netweather seems to give us snowshowers tonight/tomoz morning, tomoz night/sunday morning, monday and tuesday. I hope to see something in the next few days then if they are right! wind seems to be coming from the W/NW.
