Just walked through Camp Hill and Woolton woods right into a huge shower, massive flakes and driven by wind.

I'm at the foot of woolton and the snow is about 2" thicker in woolton village, about 1'2 mile away.This is amazimg still coming down thick and fast.

I am amazed thae snow isn't so bad in Crewe, it is very deep in Macclesfield, Wilmslow etc. I wonder where it stops, is there snow in Congleton and Sandbach?

The thing that helped you lot get the deep snow was the incessant showers before the frontal event, the winds weren't northerly enough to get them at an angle where they were affecting this far south in the region. Has been a similar story for the past couple of weeks. Very frustrating for me but good news for those further north

Not too sure about Congleton and Sandbach, I expect Congleton may have done OK

We have had more snow hre in the last two weeks than we have for most of the last 20 put together. It has been for snow at last a remarkable spell.

The snowfall has intensified a bit here and visibility reduced!

According to the radar the band should soon leave Manchester.
