GFS 12Z has reversed and has upped back again the precip in to Dorset, Wiltshire etc.

Very finely poised.

Looks like its gonna be a very much wait and see now.

Need to keep an eye on the low building and the ppn. I suppose it could kick off quickly and out of the blue. ( or not at all )

Quick update from work - new NAE just arrived now wants to focus worst snowfall (20cm +) out of westcountry by around 50NM northeast, into Berks, Surrey and Bucks, including threatening Heathrow.

Some degree of wrap around back for parts of Wilts / Glos / Bristol / Bath areas around midnight onwards to 06Z in new run but I can't see the original totals being attained for our districts, frankly. I believe UKMO now considering amendments to the current flash warning to cater for new run.

About to hold conference call with UKMO so will hear the composite viewpoint soon.

I've tried to put on here whats likely to happen the big stream in the atlantic moves NE to N wards then circles around the LP that's formed (approx) over Dorset before falling south.

There is alot of precip out there it's just where it comes ashore, either over Weymouth to Bournmouth, or Ports/IOW region. The further west the better for me.

Just checked the Spotlight forecast online and went for snow for this area pretty much all night after a Low forms over the channel islands.

Also -4c widely and perhaps an iceday for most tomorrow.

So perhaps all is not lost.

Lol, do you think i'll see anything?

the thing is this is what happens when you try to predict something that hasent developed yet i mean i just watched a weather update from the bbc online and they showed the us at 4pm with quite heavy snow lying across glous bristol somerset and devon now lookin at the radar theres nothing more than a few speckles across devon and alittle bit just north of glous nothing around the bristol somerset areas has usual anothe let down and it just goes to show even at this late stage ppl still get it wrong.

Following the track of the PPN out in the channel over the past few hours, I would say it will feed inland from around about the IOW area as opposed to Weymouth, I think the NAE and Ian has a fairly firm grip on where this is heading. I still anticipate a couple of cms but it looks like the bulk of the PPN will miss Dorset on this occasion. Shame.
