The northern and midlands batch seem to have converged and heading south west directly towards .......SWANSEA.

Surely this cant be , it cant get this far south west can it?? surely it will burn out over the beacons??

Since this is quite a rare event , how reliable can we say these new models are??

It must be pretty easy to predict the usual atlantic dross , but this is not the norm , so how are these models programmed and i would guess even the most knowledgable forecasters must struggle with all this.

When was the last time this type of situation occured?? 80 s??

What i dont understand is that this front that has swivelled from the north over us has nothing to do with the main band coming up from the south later right??

Looking at the radar i dont see any front heading our way from the south. Am i missing something?

Ok

I have added two pictures, one is met office radar and other is surface analysis. I have added comments and arrows to the analysis. Hopefully you will see the extent of percipitation on the radar as analysis only shows cloud. I have added a red hatched area to show heaviest percipitation on analysis. Hope this helps

Sorry radar would not load but analysis explains it

hardly tricky to work out that the place showing the heaviest snowfall on the radar will have the heaviest snowfall.

I think the people on this thread want to know what will happen with all the snow showing up in the radar around the wales region.

ps. i know nothing about what will happen but can read a radar.

hmmm

any need for that?

Jack I been watching the Radar is it me but it looks like the low is moving west again as it starts to wrap or am I seing things because thats what I want to see.

Call it a hunch or a feeling ( I usually get it storm chasing and its usually right)

That low is going to swing further west for us.
