Finally snowing in Melksham - we have a light covering now.

its been snowing in devizes now for about 40 mins ild say we got a inch here

Heavy here (N Bristol) and winds blowing it around all over the place - bit of a convergance of smaller systems going on around Bristol right now.

Could get good!

The N part of Bristol is in the gap. I have seen few minutes of proper snow just after 12 and still waiting... By now I would have expected a bit more...not lucky so far...

Where abouts Leon? Its hammering in Winterbourne and must be heading through Filton etc??

I am in redland, by the downs and here it is not snowing if not very very little... I read people saying about proper snow in Bristol. Not here at the moment.

I'm sure more will come. Probably throughout the night. Looks like being much lighter after a while but should keep going for at least a covering.

If you look at the MetO radad at 2 am it is not really promising. The big yellow spot is passing south of Bristol...the is only sleet for us, as it has been for the entire night so far. I wait the 0230 update, then I go to sleep.

OK woken up to the alarm, probably back to bed in a bit. About 7-8cm here, too tired to find a ruler so just an estimate, looks about 3 inches. Not the astronomical depths - yet, but a good covering which is here to stay. Cheltenham is in a gap in the precip at the moment, annoyingly, just a tad to the north Tewkesbury is probably getting badly hit...

Actually the heavy precip is dissipating quite quickly all over and looks like that yellow blob will miss Bristol now to our south?

Could be OK for Clevedon.

According to the NW Radar the wind direction has now changed and is now Northerly - all that stuff above you will be heading in your direction any time now.

It hasn't been intense for me, just constant. Just not sure now.
