Wasn't that what they said at lunch-time "could get nasty in the thames estuary later"

Or has that changed again!?

we meed a more easterly component to blow it up the thames into london though, it looks like it will plop right into n kent again - they dont need any more there.

Well we have better hope that Line of Snow about 75 Miles East of Great Yarmouth holds it together for tonight as this is the Occlusion and Stream of Snow that should be over the SE Tonight (See Nick F's latest Blog for details)

If you run the radar it is moving West slowly and should tilt so it is alligned NE-SW Tonight

Paul S

Hi mate is there any chance of them moving into the mids tonight?? thanks

Cloudy and dry for the rest of the afternoon, then snow showers tonight, snow showers tomorrow, snow showers Saturday... that's the general idea!

They will be hit and miss, but we should get at least some. NMM model suggests a band of heavy snow showers moving through Norwich overnight.

I like your thinking :D

Think that could be possible as the low nears the Estuary. Think this is what the BBC/SKY were concerned about earlier.

Greying over here, clouds moving really fast southwards, giving a few light snow showers but they are onyl a few minutes long.... very intersting window watching!

As others have said, that black cloud on approach would normally make you think a thunderstorm was on its way. It's now over us but like everywhere else, it's just a big old dark cloud!

Sorry to hear about your news dave, I had similar bad news just before Christmas I hope it all works out for you!

As to moaning, I was not moaning! I wAs just putting my view across that we might not see that much from this cold snap. Still I respect your views on the weather and continue to keep my fingers crossed , for your predictions!

I am saving all my moaning up for the special thread on here, where I will enjoy an epic rant if things continue as they have been. Hehe :D

As a wild educated guess (delete where applicable), I think convection is occuring now in the Estuary. Give it another 30 minutes and we'll see!

Ah, there's north kent, and there's NW Kent. Much of north kent would get a pasting via convection off north sea - we need a solid ENEly for NW Kent (I live in Bromley).
