A blustery snow flurry passing through now, whirls of snow dust being blown up off the ground and rooves etc. Look like today's top temperature is 0.4c as it's now 0.0c.

We had 8 inches in Burgess Hill

We had 8 inches as well . it was great.

i have a horrible feeling this cold spell won't top that though, at least unless we get a mega snow on Sunday ( which no one seems to be sure about!).

Haha, I read that in tonight's Echo which got delivered earlier. I didn't realise that was you. I hope you realise those wise words will come back to haunt you now... :)

They didn't include Netweather in that article, I see. I managed to sneak in a mention about storm chasing with Paul Sherman and Michael Fish when they ran a story on me last week, although sadly they didn't include anything about the NW site even though I gave them extensive quotes about it. Oh well. This is a link to that story: http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/4825705.Peter_snaps_up_top_travel_photography_award/ (see a thread I posted last week in the weather photography section)

Give up on this low guys.

She looks too weak. Maybe some heavier showers this evening for kent.

All eyes on Weekend now I think.

The wind direction is NOT NE or EAST , this would go against the flow of the low pressure... All wind report stations are currently still West/North West.

Agreed my weather station stating NNW NW constant for around 5 hours now. You can watch it LIVE in my link below

That is not good advice Archie, whilst Herts and Cambs etc may not fair to well this evening. There is definately potential for parts of Essex and more espicially Kent to get some decent top up's. 5 or probably 6pm onwards, we should start to see this taking shape.

I like talking about the weather and mention 'previous' events and the Southend snow records of past but they quote it to make it sound like it's gonna happen again rofl.gif

They have also quoted a website wich isn't even mine (someone is getting free advertising though) shok.gif

I'll take a look in the photograhpy section, haven't been there yet!

Wind has picked up here in last half hour. Not sure whether light flurries or blowing snow.
