Looking at the radar around Swindon, this front has well and truly stalled.

Light snow in Stevenage for the last Hour but not showing on the radar which is strange?! Hopefully we can brew our own depression because the one to the south isn't going anywhere fast! Would reckon on 3am before it reaches here. Interestingly there are some very havy pulses in the channel which could bode well for us - If it ever gets here of course!

lI agree, the snowband has been trying to get past Swindon in Wilts for hours now - to no avail. Snow is also getting lighter in Bristol now, I think going no where!

This front is agonisingly slow to shift. I can't watch any longer! Too painful.

the 18z NAE offers a slight increase in precip for the home counties with possibly 5mm on offer by the end of tomorrow. whether its cold enough for it to stay as snow and settle, who knows but that could be 5cms if it did ..........

my view is not to get too excited

Evening folks, (and snow-starved St. Ivians  ),

That band of rain, sleet, snow or what-ever in the south west has now started to make progress eastwards again...
