Surprised no other posts here unless I live in the only south west snow zone !

Just up and must have been snowing steadily for a while as it is settling on the grass and cars but not on pavements or roads. We must be right on the edge between rain and snow I reckon - and I live low down here.

John in Quedgeley, Gloucester

Same here mate, looks like there was a covering, but drizzle getting rid of that. Sleet now trying to turn to snow though. Right im off to work have fun folks

Heavy snow here! yahoo.gifyahoo.gif

Im confused what happened to my rain and back edge snow...??

laugh.gif and you're not even on holiday!

Please keep me informed if it settles, how long it lasts and in which direction it travels in, I will lurk from work.

Enjoy! biggrin.gif

Although you're near Bath aren't you so there is not much chance of it travelling down to me. I want snow this morning, I am so fickle.

I wanted snow as well but living here I've got more chance of seeing a tornado in my back garden! Got a lovely jammed motorway to look forward to instead, the joys.....!!

Snowing here in North BTL, albeit the 'wet' variety. Not settling either. Ian F indicated on weather at 7.30 that Glos would see some before it pulls away east.

EDIT: Apparently a couple of inches in Thornbury which is no more than 10 miles up the road from here. Typical! Just like last Thursday.

Snowing in Weston/Clevedon/Nailsea. Settling on the cars a bit, & i've seen the od car with a fair bit of snow on it, so some where around here most probably with elevation must have a fair bit.

I dont understand where the warning for north of here has come from?

Its all moving east from the south of glos?

Whats happening? Is it gonna move north? Or move west again? or is it all just wrong and this was expected to be further north?

Light snow in Downend. It won't come to much, I'm certain, as it's mildish and the surfaces are wet. Still, it's snow....... :(

PS D'ya know what peeps.......I am really quite staggered by the amount of snowfalls we've had this Winter, be they heavy or light or in-between. When you compare it with the last 10/15 years, it really is quite something! :unknw:

Nice surprise this morning to wake and find lying snow, with my low altitude was only expecting rain, still snowing now albeit light and increasingly sleety.

Still snowing in Downend. It's been snowing for a good half-hour, but not settling.

Still, mustn't grumble.....any snow is good snow!

Just had a thought...

The temp is dropping here with a biting NE wind.

Im wondering because if this LP is further SE that it was progged, Its bringing colder air south ( colder than should of been )

Maybe this coming heavy rain over the next day or so will fall as snow ( or at least will have a better chance to )

Any thoughts?
