Cold first half of the month (as reflected in the latest model output), average to slightly above average second half, coming out slightly below average though. 5.2C

I'll go for 4.9c this month. It will be cold start - it just depends how long it holds on for. I think there are signs it could reach the middle of the month.

I'm going for 5.2°C, I reckon there'll be a warm spell at some stage during the month, but cold air will keep trying to filter south. Scotland could be in for an unusually cold and snowy March, but in the CET zone there will probably be a warm spell at some stage. After all, cold weather patterns have been in control for months now, and they can't go on forever!

A very difficult one to call I feel. My hunch is that the first half of March will be on the cold side although nothing too extreme. I think a milder pattern may well become established during the second half of the month, making it close to average temperature wise overall. However, I think that Scotland will experience another cold month. I'm doubtfull of any notable snow events for the south. My final guess is:

6.2C

:)
