I feel sorry for the locals, it does look as miserable as sin on that Vala..... webcam.

The people working with the animals and on the land are very strained with it all.

Plus people including locals can't stop mentioning Katla, which would be the end of a way of life for most around there.

On a lighter side the eruptions blog brought forth a joke of great magnitude today IMO.

The Icelandic alphabet does not contain the letter C.

Britain's request for Cash re the Icelandic banking crisis was delivered in Ash

Perhaps the flights are holding because so many naughty boys are landing at Shannon and they waiting for a space.

I think we can assume so .. BA bullying tactics I would imagine having so many aircraft sitting just outside our airspace knocking on the doors ..

Nice work BA

Sorry don't agree! In fact strongly don't agree!

In my view bullying tactics never produce a good thing. Too much risk.

Glad I am not flying BA in June and never will again if they put themselves ahead of safety.

Well I guess Heathrow will be open fully from tomorrow as will the rest of the air space. What a mess. So Airlines now can tell the authorities when they will fly.

So will we now see a flurry of flights taking off hoping to come to Heathrow?

So we got these navy ships going to Spain which now won't be needed. Somebody somewhere is getting a p45 and a golden handshake and what's the betting the buck ends up at the met office.

Meanwhile tremor is increasing at the volcano again

I sincerely hope once all this is over that the CAA throw the book at BA.

Oops some of these seismic charts are shooting up!

http://hraun.vedur.i...todvaplott.html

As i said earlier i believe this is a good sign that lava is coming to surface, will have a look into it. Was the Icelandic met office were i read it from. I was under the impression it meant increasing pressure from magma underground.

Seems it will be back to contrails from tomorrow.

Sadly don't think so. Seems money and big business have more pressure than the volcano at the moment.

Let's sincerely hope nothing goes wrong.

Good pictures on this cam now of the eruption. http://eldgos.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull-fra-fimmvorduhalsi/

Totally disgusted - BA have lost a customer here. NOt impressed with Gordon 'I have an election to win' Brown either as he must have had something to do with it during their 'talks' earlier.
