Fascinating cloud formations on the Mukalot cam, I assume they are caused by the eruption.

Hvolsvelli cam showing the eruption plume nearly reaching the top of the frame. No stopping this volcano.

I do want to see that lava flowing though so that is a bit of a disappointment.

Thorolfsfelli cam showing steam starting to creep down the glacier again, looks like another injection of lava.

It's really hard to see on this cam though because of the autofocus keep messing about. You have to look really hard.

Actually it is easier to see on the Mulaklot cam, halfway down the slope and more blue haze than steam which suggests it is running down on top of the older lava flow so less steam.

Well that was brief!!! :wallbash::mellow: Mostly seems to be gone now. :cray:

A wee bit off topic but I think we finally have a volcano dust sunset here. It's very pinky redy orangey. I would take a photo but they never come out on my camera.

Anyone else in Scotland have an good sunset just now??

I did last night (posted a couple of pics) but I just have a lot of black cloud tonight.

Apparently we have 'patchy ash'

Breaking news: Aberdeen Airport due to close at 0100 due to patchy areas of high density in our airspace. We hope to open again by 0700.

It's a chap called Leifur from the Eruptions blog. He said he was heading up there earlier.

From Jón Frímann (a poster on the Eruptions site & the one who set up the seismometers we often look at here: http://www.simnet.is/jonfr500/earthquake/tremoren.htm).

'My uncle and his wive where on the Míla cam earlier, along with her son. I don't know the fourth person. At one point, they where all three standing and waving to the camera.'

I guess they were the small gropup we saw an image of further up.

Someone call him to fix the camera will they. :wallbash:

Actually, many on the Eruptions blog have hoped we will take a look around the back of the camera and see if he can turn off the auto-focus. I think he'd set off by then tho'.

What a shame the Thorolfsfelli cams are out of synch, the thermal cam is about 4-5 minutes behind the normal cam.

 Sorry!! That should have been ahead of the other cam and the time delay is now 10 mins. Odd! :wallbash:

Oh Now they are really messing about with the thermal cam, finding different colours just as I got used to the original too!

Ah, gone back to normal, must have been a glitch.

There are now side by side web cams on my website to make viewing easier

One page has the Þórólfsfelli infrared thermal alongside the visible cam

The other has the cams from Hvolsvelli and Valahnúk.

I hope this aids and enhances the view for you all.

Flames now showing at times on the Þórólfsfelli cam, obviously getting dark enough now to show up.

23:58pm Just saw a HUGE lava bomb shoot out of the crater on the above cam. :unknw:

Best if you toggle full screen to see the flames but they are becoming more visible by the minute. I will stay up for a few hours yet if it stays clear. This could be a good show tonight.

Hvolsvelli cam starting to put on a fire show too and no delay on that.

Edit 00:29am Just saw lightning in the plume on the Hvolsvelli cam. Going to be an interesting few hours.

Just saw lava being ejected on the axis cam:

(right click the cam and select 'toggle full screen')

Not a lot too see this morning. Looks like several cams are off line for maintenance plus it's cloudy. The extra steam suggest the lava may have actually moved on again and being fairly stagnant the last few days.

Latest vaac shows ash across parts of the country again.
