Well, although nothing noteworthy showing up on Radar close to here, visually the skyline to my south has gone pretty dark (the typical look of when a thunderstorm is approaching here from the south). Some nice Cumulus Congestus pretty much everywhere but more notable a few miles to my east. I'm quite surprised nothing is showing on Radar, unless of course it is still developing.

Quite a threatening look here and a shower did develop too but nothing thundery because thats for very rare occasions only.

I see the Coventry one has dissipated while a new area approaches from Worcestershire. There was 10mm or so in the SW of Coventry from that one alone in an less than 2 hours.

Oh and CH's shower Nuneaton way is growing at a rate!

I take it I have slept through the Storms for Glos :yahoo:

Yea, We had loads of blue sky storms.. Yano the ones without any clouds or noise or lightning.

I think they are called NinjaStorms.

They were all south of us, Then now they are all north of us, Completely missing us lol

The south ones, died off before reaching and then the north ones sprung up north of us.

Radar shows line of cells just to my S and E has intensified rapidly. Storm in the making?

Not sure what to make of the developments to my south. The convection in the last hour has increased dramatically, and the shower to my south is intensifying very slightly on Radar, but still nothing to suggest there's a thunderstorm in the making. Will have to wait and see how this unfolds...

It just sprung into life and seems to be back- building to SW Brum!

Yes, indeed it is. That shower to my south should stay over the city, but I think is happening is that that shower to my south is merging with the one that's over me now.

Rumble of thunder now!

yh it looks like its gonna rain, but everytime it does so, everywhere seems to cloud over and it makes a benign scenario all over again. :yahoo:

It looked very stormy here for ages with black and orange clouds on one side and blue skies the other. Then it just clouded over and rained a bit lol so I wouldn't get too excited! Stopped again now but still masses of stormy looking clouds. I've yet to hear any thunder or see any lightning this year!

Big rash of heavy rain between Kidderminster and Birmingham! Just seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Just to the South East of Stourbridge, looks beefy.

Now the sun made the clouds look even more threatening earlier but without it now, its increasingly dark to my S/SW. :)

Yes, its now surrounding the whole southern sky from south east to south west and moving in. Looks like there's no escape now!

The small rays of sun light from the west really give an eerie light out there wth it being so dark in the other direction. No thundery activity noticed yet.
