I wouldn't get too excited, though. Conditions aren't exactly favourable for widespread moderate or strong thunderstorms- the fact that there's only been a few sferics from some showers today illustrates how much instability there was across the country this afternoon and is going into this evening. Mid-level lapse rates should steepen further across parts of England as upper trough moves southward across England, and CF and convergence should be focus for heavy showers and some thunderstorms.

Its not often anymore I get duped by the BBC.....But she sounded so confident for later...

I have a high opinon of her forecast'..

I certainly hope so that she is correct

or the cobwebs will have to come back out on my camera'

Just had a decent downpour here in South Wales, nothing too heavy but expect some big showers and thunderstorms further eastwards tonight if they continue to intensify.

hi hazard where are you expecting to these storms and showers going?

Hi Steve, Well I'm not expecting them to get as far as the South coast so may make my way towards the M4 corridor later but I'm just going to sit an monitor the situation for a while.
