SOoooo True! I've been doing the same thing! But we are short staffed :drunk:

I am seriously thinking of leaving at around 4pm. I've had a headache all day - maybe that could suddenly turn into a migraine? :drunk::whistling:

REally large anvil overhanging here, With Mamma forming too. The anvil from the west of me looks like it is about to collide with the anvil/cirrus from the stuff coming from the north.

Remind me, what happens when 2 storms collide?

Could someone give a bit of an indication how long the storms will last for - will they keep developing, or once those currently hitting Kent and Sussex have passed, will that be in for the day? (but hopefully not for the summer season!)

Hooray, just having a most tre...men..dous thunderstorm! Gusting wind, torrential rain and lots of thunder and lightning.

Oh curses! I forgot to put out the buckets to catch the rain.

Just checked rain guage. 9 mm in the 10 minutes the storm lasted. Shame it was so short, could have done with more rain.

LOL!!! Neighbour was standing out in the pouring rain on a chair with his hands in the air worshiping the rain.:whistling:

I know we have had a long drought but I wouldn't do that with the lightning around myself.

Haven't seen rain like this for months! Approx 7mm fallen in the last 30 mins and a reasonable amount of thunder and lightning with some IC strikes overhead. The sky to all directions is now black and I think this may be in for a while.

When was the last time we saw this down here in the SE???

Well that was rather a non event, one close flash & bang then a couple of distant flashes and rumbles and it was gone. Didn't get chance to get under the table.

I'm looking at the radar between the gaps of my fingers, ruddy great big gap in the squall line opening up with every update and heading straight for me. :cray:
