Can confirm storm east of Wolverhampton, plenty of lightning and some very loud thunder... put it this way. ive felt the thump from the vibrations in my feet! and even heard some with my headphones on.

Honestly, I think I've just died and ascended into the heavens. I've seen more bright flashes of lightning from this cell than all of the others which have occured close to this region this year combined. Nocturnal cooling definitely in the works now.

Just can't believe what I'm seeing... lightning flashing across the sky and frequently as well! Anyone within the vicinity of Birmingham should confirm this. This is an amazing cell, and certainly ths most active I've seen in some time.

Yeah, this is really incredible because there's no showers that close by, yet am seeing frequent flashes of lightning from a cell to the North-West. Is absolutely a sight to behold.

First time I've seen lightning since May (had slept through the storm during August, so wasn't sure whether their could have been any then).

Tell you now, this storm is immense! Pumping out lightning every 3-5 seconds. Still not under the core yet, though. Still beautiful to watch.

Best September storm ive known. This is stunning!

It is just godly. The cell is to make a direct hit over here soon. I'll never forget this storm that's for sure.

I couldnt care less im not getting the rain. The lightning and almost continuous thunder is immense!

Ive been tracking that line that came up from the west for the last 2 hours or so. Reading got it, Windsor got it......so camera all charged up and primed I thought right....this is it, Im ready for ya. All we had here in this part of nw london was a bit of gusty wind and 5 or so minutes of rain. Most dissapointed

I'm literally just sitting here in awe of the whole thing. I am finally being rewarded after the poor lasr few summers. Best storm I've witnessed in years.

To be fair i think were the storm capital for September at least. Lol.

This just proves we can get the exciting weather if were patient! Will probably get a rubbish winter now.
