A fair day through Portugal and Spain. There will be good spells of sunshine throughout the day. More sunshine and dry weather in France, although some low cloud and drizzle may affect northern coasts. Showers for the coasts of the Netherlands and northern Germany. Some heavy showers and rain into Poland. Scattered showers for Austria and Hungary, fair through Switzerland. Cloud and rain affecting the north of Italy. More central and southern parts will be brighter and drier with sunny spells. Cloud and rain over the south of Greece and across Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania should be dry and bright but cold. To the north it will be windy with sunshine and wintry showers in Denmark. Scattered showers in Sweden. Rain in Finland and the Baltic States, turning brighter. Further showers across Norway, some of them heavy.

Monday

Rain for Portugal this afternoon. Most of Spain should be dry with sunny spells. Dry across France, but breezy in the north and west. A windy day across the Low Countries, but it should be mainly dry. Breezy for Germany but dry here, and then staying mainly dry and breezy in Poland as well. Switzerland, Austria and Hungary staying dry and mild. Italy is going to be having a mainly dry day. There will be some fog patches in the north at first, these slowly clearing. Rain and cloud across southern Greece, and some cloud and rain through Turkey too. Mainly dry into Bulgaria and Romania. Gales in Denmark with cloud and rain. Cooler conditions through Portugal and Spain on New Year's Day. There will be some showers, mainly in the north. Rain affecting central parts of France, with some showers spreading south through Ireland and the UK. Sunshine and showers across the Low Countries and northern parts of Germany, with rain in central Germany and Poland. Italy will have some early fog but this should clear to leave sunny spells and mainly dry weather. Staying dry into Greece too. Heavy showers for Turkey, these merging to longer spells of rain in the south. Fair across Bulgaria and Romania. To the north there will be cloud and rain in the Baltic States as well as strong winds. Cloud, wind and rain affecting Finland with some snow too. More cloud and snow over northern Sweden. Heavy wintry showers for Norway.

Wednesday

Fair for Portugal and Spain today. There will be good spells of sunshine, and these are going to be extending into France too.
