An area of snow will affect an area form eastern Poland into Belarus, The Ukraine and southern Russia. A dry day across The Alps into Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungry and the former Yugoslavia into Greece and Turkey. Fair and dry across Spain and Portugal today. Heavy snow and gales is expected across northern parts of Norway and Sweden with the south dry. A windy but dry day across Finland as snow moves in for the evening.

Cloudy with rain into Portugal and Spain today but dry across the Balearics. Fair and dry across Britain into France, Belgium, The Netherlands into Germany and Poland today. Today

Cloudy with rain into Portugal and Spain today but dry across the Balearics. Fair and dry across Britain into France, Belgium, The Netherlands into Germany and Poland today. Cold, windy but dry and sunny across Norway and Sweden today. An area of heavy snow is forecast across Finland, Russia, The Baltic States and Belarus. Dry across the Ukraine, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungry and the former Yugoslavia. A wet day with heavy rain across Greece. Most of Turkey looks fair and dry. Lots of sunshine today across Italy into Sardinia and Corsica. Fine as well with sunny skies across Switzerland and Austria. Very windy across eastern parts of Europe and the eastern Mediterranean.

Monday

Expect strong winds in the western and central parts of the Mediterranean today with gales from the east in the Straits of Gibraltar. An area of high pressure is expected to dominate much of Europe. This will give plenty of dry weather from the United Kingdom down through France and eastward through the Low Countries, Germany, Poland into Belarus. This fine weather will also extend down across the Czech Republic, the Ukraine, Hungary, across the former Yugoslavia into Bulgaria, Greece and the western part of Turkey. Eastern Turkey will be cold and windy with outbreaks of rain and snow. An area of snow is also forecast across northern parts of Norway and Sweden and across most of Finland into the Baltic States. Southern parts of Russia will have outbreaks of snow with the north dry. Cloudy and wet across Iberia today with outbreaks of rain across Portugal and Spain. Dry from the Balearics across into Corsica, Sardinia into Italy with sunny spells. A better day across eastern Mediterranean. Here it will be dry and mostly sunny with winds.

Today

Expect strong winds in the western and central parts of the Mediterranean today with gales from the east in the Straits of Gibraltar. An area of high pressure is expected to dominate much of Europe. This will give plenty of dry weather from the United Kingdom down through France and eastward through the Low Countries, Germany, Poland into Belarus. This fine weather will also extend down across the Czech Republic, the Ukraine, Hungary, across the former Yugoslavia into Bulgaria, Greece and the western part of Turkey. Eastern Turkey will be cold and windy with outbreaks of rain and snow. An area of snow is also forecast across northern parts of Norway and Sweden and across most of Finland into the Baltic States. A very wet day across Portugal, Spain, southern France and across into Corsica and Sardinia. Strong gales are expected through the central Mediterranean into southern France. Continued dry and milder across England, northern France into Belgium, Holland, Denmark and Germany. Dry as well eastward into Poland, Belarus, The Ukraine, Hungry, the Czech Republic, Austria, the former Yugoslavia into Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and western Turkey. Fine across Italy today. Eastern Turkey will be cold and windy with snow and snow showers. Cold but dry across Norway and Sweden. Heavy now is expected across Finland and Russia and the Baltic States.

Wednesday

It remains very unsettled and rather stormy in the Mediterranean today with very strong gales affecting the area just west of Italy across into Sicily, Corsica and Sardinia with strong westerly winds blowing through the Straits of Gibraltar. Further spells of rain are likely across Portugal and Spain and across into the southern half of France, across the Balearics with also very heavy pulse of rain expected to spread into Italy. Some light rain to come across England today. Mainly dry across northern France into Belgium, Holland and Denmark and northward into Norway and Sweden. Heavy snow is likely across the far north of Sweden and across northern parts of Finland with southern Finland. Mostly cloudy, cold but dry. High pressure will again give a large part of central and eastern Europe. A dry day and this dry weather will extend from Germany eastward across into Poland, the Ukraine and down across Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Heavy snow is forecast across Russia today. A cold day with sub zero maximum temperatures across Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Belarus and Russia. A wet day to come with outbreaks of rain across the United Kingdom, France and Portugal and Spain. Eastern parts of Spain, though may be dry and dry across into the Balearics with sunny spells. Another area of rain will affect most of Italy and the former Yugoslavia with scattered showers expected across Greece today. Cold across Turkey with a mixture of light rain and snow with some rain across Bulgaria. Most of Romania will be fair and dry with an area of rain and snow expected across the Ukraine into Poland. Cloudy with outbreaks of light rain across the Czech Republic and Hungary. Northern parts of Germany will have a mixture of rain and snow with the south mainly dry. Mostly cloudy and windy but dry across Belgium and Holland with the risk of some light snow across Denmark. Cold but dry with sunny spells across much of Norway and Sweden. We expect outbreaks of snow across Finland, the Baltic States, and eastern parts of Russia. Staying bitterly cold across the northern half of Europe through Wednesday. There may be some snow flurries on the eastern coasts of the UK, These snow showers affecting northern France too. The Low Countries and Germany should be dry but cold with a stiff east wind. Staying dry through Poland too. Cold again in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland. For Portugal and Spain there will be cloud and rain. The rain is going to be heavy at times across northern parts of Spain and Portugal with showers to the east. Cloud and some rain over southern Italy, but dry to the north. Showers or rain over Greece and Turkey, but milder here. For the far north of Europe it stays very cold. Dry across Denmark and the Baltic States. Cloud and rain affecting northern parts of Norway and Sweden as well as Finland. Here there will be sleet and snow, some heavy at times.

Thursday

A fair day in Portugal on Thursday with sunny spells. Much of Spain should be fair too, although there will be some cloud and rain in the east. More rain or showers over the Balearics, with some cloud affecting central Italy. Sunny spells and warm for Greece and much of Turkey. Cold in central Europe with some fog in France. Staying chilly for the Low Countries with the risk of some snow flurries. Broken cloud in Germany and cold too. Remaining cold through Poland, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary. High pressure brings dry weather to Denmark with sunny spells here. More dry weather through the Baltic States as well as Finland. Sweden should be dry with some sunny spells, and it should be dry for much of Norway too, although snow affects the far north.
