What do you guys reckon Estofex will go with for tomorrow - I am going to go with a Level 2 for much of England :good:

That would be my guess Paul. Certainly a strong upgrade on today's instability, and we have a L1 from them today.

I'll be visiting Wicken Fen tomorrow for my storm chase, a further east from your position. :)

wow! can you confirm your station is in the shade Mikel?

Half and half Rob. The sun shields are now in the shade but the black rain gauge isn't so I'd maybe take it with a pinch of salt.

Good luck tomorrow Steve!

Btw just in case you are wondering how are little Set-Up compares to some of the Set-Ups in the States, SPC Have Upgraded todays risk there to Moderate with 15% Hatched for Tornadoes. Cape there from Mid 60's to 70's Dps yielding 4,000jkg of Cape and an Upper Trough North of the Action area, obviously not the same Set-Up with a Lifting Warm Front but just wanted to Highlight how rare this is for the Uk to have Dp's this High and this much Strong Instability in the Uk. :whistling:

...CNTRL/NRN PLNS TO MID MS VLY TODAY THROUGH MON...

AFOREMENTIONED UPR TROUGH. AT THE SAME TIME...A DEEP EML WILL

REMAIN PRESENT ALOFT AS WLY FLOW CONTINUES/STRENGTHENS ON NRN FRINGE

That station might be slightly in the sun, what do the other local ones near it report?

I wondered that....

....mine is in the shade though @ 29.6 °C and it's normally quite accurate, so it's not far off - certainly hotter imby at the moment than it has been so far this summer !!

Our Vantage Vue is now at 29.3, after falling from 29.6.

It feels very warm outside now, uncomfortable even. There's more CU around than there was earlier, and we've just seen 4 gliders off to our North circling using thermals...

Its a very nice 29c here some wonderful dark clouds approaching. Even the dog cannot be bothered today but this is going to be a test of how she reacts to storms if they kick off later.

Showers now sprouting up around Tyne and Wear. Surprisingly it's all coming from sheets of cumulus and stratocumulus, of the sort that we often get up here from warm moist south-westerly flows at all times of the year- some cumulus cells are taking off into cumulus congestus particularly as they head into the North Sea.

Reached a surprisingly high 25.9C here earlier.

Mike, could see a towering cumulus cloud to my west which gave a light shower, though it may have been the edge of a heavier shower towards Liverpool way.

Guest Kent-Weather

27.8°C calibrated and in direct sunlight. given others mentions of local temps - pretty spot on. Really looking forward to Monday nights potential and shall be out with a friend or 2 on a local area chase, not that a chase shall be required. Sit and wait for the storms to come to us :)

I'd be interested to see what TORRO has to say in all this. They've been ominously quiet even about this evenings potential, nevermind the runup to Mondays explosive affair. ESTOFEX should have something out by 5pm as was yesterdays forecast release.

Hot and superbly sunny. Could never think of a Sunday roast on a day like this. A BBQ by far takes priority!
