'Er in doors sat at home 5 miles from Stevenage reports torrential rain/hail, continuous thunder, scared her so much, she had to sit down and watch an episode of Peter Andre, to calm her nerves.

Here in Potters Bar, merky/humid, no rain, one crack of thunder all day, give it til 1pm and it will left trouser leg down. (my lunch hour)

Distant rumbles just started in Romsey, presumably from the stuff coming up south east of the Isle of Wight, and turning very dark to the S/SE. As things stand it looks like we'll be too far west though.

Keep an eye on the current one just east of Cherbourg as it may get E Sussex this time, I hope.
