You lot have your storms.

I've been enjoying a cool day of 20C with wall to wall sunshine. It's going to continue till Sunday too.

Thank you.

That storm rapidly intensified in the last 10-15 minutes, counted about 10 Cg Strikes and 2 were Gunshot Thunder which I filmed in full HD. Just have to learn how to import it onto the Pluter and Will put it up.

I would class that as quite a decent little storm for the Uk! :air_kiss:

Got about 10 minutes of this as well, caught a few strikes on my phone and some gunshot thunder - will upload as well later on.

HERE is one. You got it so wrong yesterday even the netweather storm risk for here was between 50- 85% and nothing

Meaning there was a 15-50% chance you wouldn't get anything......

Best and possibly last of the day now passing through.

A couple of really good +CG strikes close by.

Got a grand view of one, looked like it came down just east of Progress road.

cheers,

Steve.

Not bad was it Paul.

Maybe one more cell coming through Brighton into Tunbridge and on to us, before it all comes to an end.

WOW! that was quite a storm, took my internet out and am connected through 3G (mobile server) as router server is down after the biggest crack of thunder i've ever heard shook the windows! saw a very bright flash before that and the loudness of the thunder must of been past 100dbs, scared me for sure but really fun all the same, quite a heavy downpour as well! :shok:

About 20 minutes ago had a crack of lightning and thunder right over us… naffed the internet and the lightning actually tickled my nose — dog's not too happy about it… panting and won't even eat his dinner.

I'm surprised your nose tickling affected your dog

Jesus christ what is your problem Paul ??

It was a Forecast which was put out by every single agency, the conditions were ripe for Severe Storms, just becuase they did not happen was down to factors that were changing by the minute yesterday.

I counted about 30-40 people chasing yesterday, do you see them moaning and bleating, shit happens Mate!

Others expect the storms to arrive on their doorstep and make the storm a cup of tea, it gives them a show and moves onto the next person, fact it does not happen like that, if you have a car and then storm is within 50 miles get out and chase the sodding thing, but dont come on here moaning about a busted forecast :nonono:

Others know I have chased in the States for 8 years and in that time have had some pretty soul destroying days with things not happening but we pick ourselves up and chase again and the next day could be a whole lot better.

Yes! Sun and cool air ... !

*Bring back the heat*

Your wish has been granted methinks. It was lovely and cool after our rumbles but now I've got loudly-twittering birds, blazing sunshine, temp is 22.2c (and climbing), wind "chill" = 25.5c and humidity is 70%. Are we in for another hard-to-sleep-coz-it's-sticky sleep?

It wasn't "So wrong" - generally it was thought that there would be imports from France in the SE, and home grown storms in Eastern England, say around Lincolnshire to North Yorkshire. The home grown storms materialised further north, giving Tyneside a fantastic thunderstorm and an absolute deluge of rain and hail. Admittedly the French imports didn't show up, but I doubt that's what you're on about as they wouldn't affect anywhere NW of a line from the IoW to Norwich.

That maybe true to some extent, but there has already been torrential rainfall here, thunder and lightning, sometimes several times a minute. Perhaps not quite as intense as predicted? But pretty good nonetheless.
