Not my video but its for people who havent seen/heard a storm today.

Remember that storm well, was living in Willenhall at the time and this beauty was right above us.

Can see a few cells to the North and East of here. So close... but no cigar!

Looks like something has kicked off towards the Peak District, some beautifully crisp and explosive convection to the east is visible from here.

I can see it!!!:drinks:

The tornado or the cell? doesn't look to be anything substantial on the pic/s I took, infact given its horizontal placement i'm starting to think its an outflow feature. But if your closer..

Seems to be some orogenic formation of storms up the Pennine spine, can see the huge one to the NE of my location, would get some great lightning if it was dark.

Possibly heard distant thunder from Peak District cell. Will confirm shortly - been away in France for two weeks, back earlier this afternoon, so thunder would be a nice welcome back pressie :p

The development to the east is going up that fast that you can see the clouds punching their way into the atmosphere

I live a few miles away and didn't get the hail but knew whoever was getting it must be getting a battering as the thunder was near constant for about 10 mins

Ooops  Sorry Paul, I misread your post! Anyway, I can still see these formations and one in particular is producing an impressive tower, shame a tree is preventing me taking a piccie!

Lol No worries, Nice to see even if in the distance :drinks:

Yep thunder heard :)

I imagine I'll be hearing thunder soon too. As it passes over Sheffield, due to the shape of the cell it seems like I'll see something. :)

Sun's out here now, but that massive area of rain stretches from Norwich to the coast, I still can't see the top of it!

Just been out in the garden and sure enough (nocturnal cooling now starting to kick in also i'd imagine) a localised CB has cropped out of nowhere, missing myself yet again, but you can visually see the uplift continually going up and up with no CAP stemming it.

I wonder if that's the one I can see, can see 2, maybe 3 around the same direction

A cell has popped up over the Pennines, looks like a few more might pop up from some drizzly stuff similar to that that was over Lincolnshire earlier.

Could be the Manchester cell that's just gone up. On the NW Radar that went from nothing to a full-blown cell in about the same time-span, the cell just upwind of me now (towards Marple) is still growing yet.
