There clearly has Lauren, I totally agree. The "storm drought" deniers will tell you otherwise, but it's clear!'

You still get more than me and hotter weather and more snow

Lol as a rule of thumb you can see the Cb's between 15-30 miles away and NE Of you is........Chelmsford, so you are looking at the Chelmsford cell to your NE Which is my NW

Ooops  Sorry Paul, I misread your post! Anyway, I can still see these formations and one in particular is producing an impressive tower, shame a tree is preventing me taking a piccie!

its bad enough when theres no storms around at all but its even worse when towns not to far away are getting battered haha. :wallbash:

I was hoping the storms would come through to cool everything down so I can sleep tonight but no, zilch, nada, nothing!!!

Not even a shower.

I might buy a boat and tie a rope around the uk and drag it to the Caribbean next to Florida or something, do you think we will fair better then?

Haha knowing our luck probably not. :)

A fast developing cell here has given some exceptionally heavy rain, several claps of thunder and several IC lightning flashes in the past 20-25 minutes, clearing now though.

Edit: More heavy rain now with an occasional clap of thunder.

Looking at Rain Today, there's something building to the West of Leeds. Looks to be another storm in the making.

Someone has stolen my hot day with clear blue skies and replaced it with this gorgeous fluffiness (although I'd prefer a TS ta very much!)

Anyone in Buxton following the cell that's coming up to Castleton about now. I'm looking at it, and for the past 5 mins its looked to have (what appears) a elongated funnel-feature to the rear updraught.

Went out for a bit of a walk around to watch 2 or 3 new storms rapidly build into the line over EA and head off North, currently there's a gorgeous storm with well developed anvil off to the North East, oh if I had a car so i could get to the hill tops.:)

I'm about 40 odd miles east and can see nothing of the sort. All that action is nearer but to my north
