That could be our lot for tonight though mate!

Unless sleeping beauty the Irish Sea wakes up :p

Interestingly, the dewpoint is now 0.0C, temperature is 2.6C. = snow fest if we can pull in the precip. :good:

What would your prediction be for Blackburn area East Lancs for any further snow or accumalations? I have already had a little bit of snow tonight and there is a covering on the cars but nothing on pavements/roads etc.

Thanks

Looks a little lighter and more patchy than my area on the BBC and the NAE but on the radar looks like you could be about to get some more, youd have to be unlucky to get no more at all and remember these types of setups are hard to pinpoint exact locations, its whether it will settle as well though wheras last year and the previous year we never had that problem, Altitude is another factor, i would guess your about 350 to 450ft right? Nothing set in stone yet other than if your in the NW or west or south yorks, you are far more likely than any other area of UK apart from Western Scotland.

Down to 2.4C with nothing falling, although one heavier shower just appeared out of no where on the radar. Bring it on! :D

Yeah we keep getting a covering here too, melts quickly though. Still that massive drift on the shed I can see out my window though.

Could the snow that is falling in Glasgow at the moment possibly reach over to North East England?

Its looking like its getting wider as it comes over land, Northumberland and Newcastle may see a couple of showers from that!!!

Think I am too far east and south to benefit from that I'm afraid!!!

It's only about 5-6cm, but in hailstone terms, I'd say that's pretty impressive :p

Temperature still dropping away despite nothing falling. This is pretty amazing stuff!

Quite unbelievable really St Bees is right on the coast literally, compare that to the coastal stations further south out of Cumbria. 1.3c is impressive but it has been stuck under ppn.

2.8c here with clear skies.

Game over here now for tonight/tomorrow. Too much of a westerly flow. Trying to persuade the OH to come Trafford Centre tomorrow so that I can get further north into where the shower activity will be.
