well, there is a chance friday's storm will take a dive south into france, but looks what it gives us as an alternative....

Lovely. Will be nice to see a flake or 2 this side of christmas. I doubt it will stick around for long....

Sky looking showery here, and a good crop of heavy showers in the S.W. on the radar, these may push inland later, Torro has a convective outlook for today.

Well, I like strong winds... but then, I like snow. Which one will win? There's only one way to find out...

Absolutely blowing a gale here now, roaring round the house and the chimney is screaming.

Just had our chimney swept and the cowl replaced, three storeys up at 96m asl - sweep said it was the last job they'd be doing today as he hadn't been able to rise higher than crawling up there!

Don't let that lot move any further North :o Still the chance of funnels in the Channel if you could see them.

This must be getting Sarkozy back for last week!!! :p

Looks like some T & L in the heavy showers feeding in across S Wales and Bristol Channel area recently, missed the thunder over London earlier unfortunately:sf_na_1d.gif

Morning folks, been an interesting start to the day. Had a few real heavy showers track right past us with some wicked gusty winds. One moment its sunshine and white fluffy clouds the next the rain is sideways lol Radar says we've got some sunshine for a while so heres a few snaps i grabbed! Have a good day and roll on friday :)

Higher gusts here now (50mph) than we had last night (45mph). Some slushy snow on local hills.

Gusting 60-65mph atm and continuing to increase, very stormy.

Some pictures just taken down the road by Harrington harbour about half hour ago, I moved pretty quickly as you can in one picture the sea was blown right over my car.

The swell is very high.

Went to bed around midnight last night, woke up to hear the neighbours ornaments rolling around in the strong winds as the cold front passed through with Buxton again recording a max of 50mph gusts about the same time. Anything from the SW however is funneled by the topography around Kettleshulme so speeds may have been briefly higher for a time here.
