Just had a big flash of lightning and thunder.

Blimey, nasty thunderstorm here, multiple strikes of fork lightning, hail, torrential rain/sleet/snow.

Marble sized hailstones now.

iow radar picking mass strikes in the bristol ch /english ch at the moment

I can see that from Newbury PB and it's a big bugger.

It is generally tracking west to east with the trailing edge along the M4 corridor, could spawn a funnel?

Interesting.

Wow just had some big flakes of snow mixed in with the rain! Nice little surprise :smilz38:

Feels very cold out and windy.

Current conditions Temperature: 4 °C Comfort Level: -1 °C Dew point: 2 °C Barometer: 990 millibars Humidity: 87% Wind: 32 km/h from 240° West-southwest

Would be interesting to see what thurs/fri brings. The meto keep downgrading the gusts for my location. I guess its a waiting game.

Atlantic storms-oops sorry must be in the wrong thread?

I'll post some thoughts about what the thread title is shortly, to do with the predicted Atlantic storm of Thursday-Friday, it will be a pdf as I find it easier to put text and charts in one place at the same time; if you can leave this in please admin/mods?

It's all up-in-the-air at the moment Marie with regards to track of the 'storm' late Thurs/early Friday, don' t think we'll know until tomorrow what exactly will happen and where wind, rain and even snow wise.

Though John may be able to shed some light with his experience!

Following on from what John has said and just in case some of you are not aware, we have a Regional Discussion area here: http://forum.netweather.tv/forum/142-regional-discussions/ where you can post regarding snow, thunder etc that you are currently experiencing.

Let's try to keep this thread on topic :good:

The wind continues to ramp up here, getting quite nasty on the roads.

Real dark cloud flying in from the west.
