Morning all-gone very dark in Liverpool City Centre, drizzle ATM, but some lying snow on outskirts to the South-Sefton Park had a light covering.

Iv just witnessed a miracle...............its SNOWING theres about 1cm on the ground but its settled everywhere and just looks beautiful . HOWEVER its now raining with snow mixed in

looking at the warnings the met must expect the stuff over north wales to move east because north wales hasnt got a warning so looks like we could have a decent event in the south of the region

Had some very heavy snow earlier this morning. Since then it's been a sleety mix although its still white out albeit rather slushy now. Temps still at 1C. All this very unexpected, more to come?

moderate/heavy snow now in St Helens, started a bit sleety. Doesn't seem to be sticking on roads or pavements though

Bit slushy on paths but starting to stick, grass is goin white though, it keeps laying off a bit, then all of a sudden the massive flakes come down, it hasnt stopped since 9:15am, just slows a lil the comes back

How annoying is that! 30 minutes after the 0900 observation time and we get a snow shower which covers the ground, and a few more to come by the look of the radar.

The radar is showing massing in the Irish Sea by the looks of it. Not sure if they are false echoes but there is quite a clump to the north of Rhyl.
