Some really intense echoes near the North Welsh coast. Driving on the A55 through Flintshire could be very interesting.

Interesting cross sectional drive of Lancashire this morning. Snow in Longridge, settled albeit not very deep until the eastern edge of Preston. Then nothing, then at Kirkham heavy rain, turned to heavy snow and then to heavy sleet by Blackpool. Raining lightly where I work near the sea front. I think today is the very definition of a marginal snow event!

No laying snow in city centre. Of course, Oldham will have snow given teh elevation and get loads.

It was fun whilst it latest when it falling about 3 hours ago here too.

Didn't have any proper lying snow bar a sugar dusting like BT said but at the very least I guess I can sign myself out of the not snowed club now even it didn't snow again for the rest of the winter.

It's trying very hard to snow here but we're only getting sleet. We did, however have a huge clap of thunder about 20 minutes ago!

Sunshine and lightly snowing. A very slow thaw here. I would have thought the thaw would have been more rapid after it stopped snowing heavily over 2 hours ago.

Going to be quite an event here with that train of convection coming off the Irish Sea, as far back as N.Ireland, already we got some 2cm lying here with more accumulation on the higher ground. We could easily see 10cm from this if things stay as they are wind-vector wise.
