its very odd bordering laughable that manchester has a layer of snow and i got a layer of no here some 600ft up.

aye its mad, we are JUST too far east atm but more showers are on the way so we are well in the slot here in ashton/oldham me thinks!

Still nothing here, but it sounds as though the lake district could be picturesque on Sunday / Monday as the Kirkstone Pass is shut this morning. :)

Snowing here too, don't think the roads were gritted here last night... Getting to work should be fun, Macc grinds to a halt in just sleet usually :doh:

It could have been worse in some ways, you could be trying to get work amongst debris on road, fallen trees etc. Remember earlier this week the models were showing one hell of a storm. One of those "what ifs". I wonder how bad it would have been if a 940mb low had tracked acorss central Scotland last night.

Those showers out in the Irish Sea look quite heavy at the moment. Some places could get quite alot if this keeps going for a few hours.

@snow time the sky has cleared here so you should get it aswell but the temp has dropped again feels bitter outside.

Snow melting on path but not grass etc

gritter overturned in glasgow ,and one on fire,roads very icy

Glasgow??? I thought i was in northwest england.!!! Lol

I think there is a streamer going to hit in bout half an hour. Whoever get stuck under it will get a few hours of what ever falls
